Hamilton Extends Playoff Appearance Streak
The Milwaukee Hamilton Wildcat's extended their run of consecutive playoff appearances to 4 in 2011.  A last second, tie-breaking touchdown in the "Okie-Miska" Bowl against long time rival, Pulaski proved to be a key play in not only in that game but in the Wildcats season as it provided the final win of the season and got the Wildcats playoff eligible.
Coach Wallack will tell you that while the playoff appearances are great, the 'Cats need to do more preparation in the off-season if they want to get that first playoff win.

Rippin' Tigers!
Your Wildcats went on the road Friday to play the Ripon High School Tigers and came away with their third win in a row.
Prior to kickoff the team was invited to observe the Ripon College football team practice and the seniors spoke for a minute with Red Hawk's Coach Ron Ernst.
Once the game began, it took the Cats a few minutes to shake off the bus ride and Ripon drove the field and scored on the game's first possession.  The Wildcats responded with a score of their own, a 7 yard run by QB Larry Williams (19 carries, 74 yards, 2 TD).
Ripon put together another drive and capped it with a 1 yard score and then scored again a short time later on a 15 yard run.  The conversions on those two scores failed but the Tigers were up 19-7 after one quarter of play.
The Wildcats came roaring back though scoring twice in the second and twice in the fourth to take control of the game 35-19.  A last minute Ripon touchdown cut the lead to 11 and when freshman Kyle Godlewski recovered the Tiger's onside kick attempt, the game was all but over.
Williams passed for 250 yards in the game and completed TD passes to Frank Lopez (2 catches for 49 yards, 1 TD; 9 carries for 61 yards) and Lashawn Goode (5 catches for 163 yards, 1 TD; 8 carries for 37 yards, 1 TD).
Wildcats Win At Home, As Usual!
Hamilton played it's second home game in the school's history this past Saturday when they hosted Bay View.  And like the first game played at Royten field the Wildcats were victorious.
Bay View struck first but the home team answered right back on the ensuing kickoff when Frank Stevenson stiff armed his way to a 65 yard kick return for a touchdown.  Stevenson scored again in the second quarter when he received a 12 yard pass from Larry Williams.  A short time later Williams ran the ball in from 4 yards out for a score of his own.  In the third quarter Frank Lopez, who rushed for 124 yards on 18 carries, got the first of his 2 rushing touchdowns.  Lashawn Goode capped the Wildcat scoring with a pair of rushing TD's to make the final Hamilton 45, Bay View 8.

Royten Field Gets A Facelift!
In preparation for the 2011 season, the Wildcat's Royten Field was re-sodded this summer. The new grass will get a workout later this year when the Wildcats host Bay View on September 10th.
